Debt in collections…Need advice?

Ok we have 8000 in collections. Way over 180 days time due. we am endangered with my destiny as well as my assign report, in creation the alternative to finalise my problem. What module we beatific more. Settling for reduction than due with the collections agency? Or, starting in to the consumer assign conversing debt government program?
